Lonely

Lonely little wildflower in the rocky Texas Hill Country soil.

This is an incredibly evocative image! I imagine it in a maroon or warm dark gray frame. Bravissima! :-)))

I saw this the other day, and I must have gotten distracted and didn't leave a comment. I really really like this. With the gravel (?) in the background, it feels like b&w with selective coloring on the flower - only better.

Merisi - Thank you so much for your kind comment. There is just something about it that draws me in too.

Ruth - The background is actually the rocky soil that makes up most of the Texas Hill Country. This flower was on a bluff where deer travel.
